upon first inspection of missy, she is quite amiable. her biophilic nature paints the picture well enough; she's one to often indulge in nature, appreciating and coexisting with the flora and fauna of etheirys. she likes to get to know people, to learn of their nature and lifestyle— to find what makes them tick. she's a natural conversationalist with a vested interest in the people she's engaged with, almost suspiciously so. she never has ill intent, however-- just a strong desire to turn the conversation away from herself.she's been described by those who have had the brief pleasure of knowing her as an adventurous type with a taste for mischief. open-minded, benevolent, altruistic to a fault. the line between friendly and flirty can blur for her pretty quickly when she finds a personality that riffs off her own well, though in relationships her rash nature tends to venture into the self-destructive.

missy hails from the black shroud, adopted as an infant by a sapphic couple shortly after they had settled in a cottage in the lavender beds. as a result, she spent most of her childhood exploring the wood beneath nophica's watchful eye. and watchful she had to be, for the girl grew into a handful, constantly getting into things she wasn't supposed to. it was in this nature that she adopted the name "missy", called after her many a time by unwitting strangers turned victims of her unruly behavior.when she was nine, she met a merchant's son by the name of lucan draper. the two got along like a house on fire, becoming great friends in the following years— even going as far as to begin dating in the later years of their childhood. at eighteen, the pair found that missy had unexpectedly fallen pregnant, and found themselves excited and eager to start the rest of their lives together.they impulsively skipped town in the middle of the night, leaving nothing but a note for their parents to find the morning after, promising their swift return. the two planned to elope— the details didn't matter, as long as they were together. their impulsiveness drove them to finally beginning their journey away from home, following their shared, deep-seated desire to explore the world; to find what was beyond the horizon.the fates were cruel, however. a lesson the young girl had not quite come to learn, though learn it she soon would, and at a grave cost. the night before the pair's wedding day was when the seventh umbral calamity had reached it's fever pitch, and the small town they had been staying in was completely destroyed. missy barely escaped with her life, with thanks to lucan for narrowly saving her from a fatal blow, though his heroism left him among one of the many casualties of the calamity.she woke up several days later in an infirmary tent. the chirurgeon attending her explained that she'd suffered a miscarriage as a result of her injuries, and will likely suffer lifelong consequences for the damage to her body that caused it. though she'd eventually recover from the physical wounds she'd sustained, she left the mage's care bereft, directionless, and sorely lacking the will to live. missy had no way of knowing if her mothers or his father had survived, but if they hadn't, she wasn't ready to find out.so, taking lucan’s memory with her, she began to travel eorzea aimlessly in attempt to fulfill his wish to see the world with her. she has refused to go back to the shroud for many years— for fear that her parents hadn't made it and she'd be forced to face that reality, but also for fear that they had, and were deeply upset with her for what she did.since that fateful day, she's continued her childhood lifestyle of hunting and performing odd jobs for those she comes to know in passing, though she's become somewhat of a drifter. she never stays in one place for long, and has trouble forming lasting relationships as a result (not for lack of trying). it's a lonely lifestyle, but she holds hope that she may one day find a place to belong again, and with it others to share in that joy.

hello!! you can call me nilla (´∀`) i use she/they pronouns and i've been an rper for around 11 years!unfortunately, it's been quite a long time since i've been able to rp, having lost touch with the general community once tumblr rp fell out of trend. after sitting on the outside looking in for many years, unsure of where to start in reintegrating myself into the scene, missy will be serving as my best attempt at bravery in putting myself out there again. she's a very familiar & developed oc, as i've been working on daily for the past 7 or so years since i've started playing ffxiv.all of this is a long way of saying i'm fresh on the scene and feeling shy and skittish, and i may require some patience as i navigate this new rp landscape and rediscover my preferences. but i will put it on paper that i've partaken in nearly all shapes and sizes of rp, and i'm willing and ready to experiment!
